Quinnipiac University School of Law, as well as the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) will be hosting its 30th Annual Thurgood Marshall Award Ceremony on Wednesday, March 28. This year’s award recipient is Michael Koskoff, principal attorney at Koskoff Koskoff & Bieder PC in Bridgeport, who has used his legal education to promote civil rights and civil liberties in Connecticut.
Each year, BLSA recognizes an outstanding person in law, education, or politics who exemplifies Thurgood Marshall’s dedication to improving society through the advancement of civil rights, civil liberties, and human rights. BLSA’s Thurgood Marshall Award is given in honor of the first African American appointed to the US Supreme Court. Marshall epitomized individual commitment to civil rights.
