Norman H. Roos of Robinson+Cole’s finance team was installed as the 2019-2020 president of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys (ACMA) during their annual meeting on September 7 in Monterey, CA. ACMA was formed in 1974 and its membership consists of nearly 500 lawyers in North America who are recognized leaders in the mortgage law industry.
In his role of ACMA president, Attorney Roos’ responsibilities include appointing a Nominating Committee to propose Fellows for offices within ACMA and appointing committee chairs and co-chairs. He previously served as the ACMA’s secretary, treasurer, and president-elect, as well as Connecticut State Chair.
At Robinson+Cole, Attorney Roos concentrates his practice on transactional, regulatory, and technology matters relating to the financial services and real estate industries. He represents banks, insurance companies, diversified financial service companies, and other publicly and privately held entities on a broad range of matters involving consumer and commercial transactions, with a special focus on mortgage banking.
